Bay Area’s Brother
On this episode the Bay Area’s worst fear is confirmed. A body recovered near Pier 39 is that of beloved radio host Jeffery Vandergrift known in the Bay and across the country as J.V. We look back at a career that spanned decades and made the Dog House members household names. Rich and I reflect on our upbringing with the show that made them famous as well as all the memories made attending concerts and shows. Prayers to all his family, friends, and fans. Then the internet was on fire with video emerging of Tekashi 69 seemingly being jumped in a gym bathroom. We discuss the authenticity of the video as well as what lengths some will go for a social media presence. Which leads right into the next story of Wack 100 record executive/clubhouse personality. Wack has made a career lately off of commentary rarely favorable of those he’s discussing. He may have went over the line this time as he calls out Vallejo’s own J Diggs. Diggs responds on live to accusations made against him and has a proposition for Wack. We discuss how the stakes are higher than ever for Wack and if this banter will result in a beating or worse. NFL free agency has not slowed down either. Raiders makes moves to sure up the secondary and have their eye on a receiver that’s highly regarded around the league. The Jets get Aaron Rodgers more receivers to add to the arsenal, and some high profile RB’s are on the move as well. NBA playoffs are literally around the corner with a possible Kings Warriors matchup in the first round. And Benavidez v.s. Plant takes place tonight on Showtime PPV. We discuss that card and look ahead to Davis vs Garcia in April. All that and much more on episode 171 of UNPROFESSIONAL AF!
